The New Children's Museum in San Diego was recommended to us as a not to be missed spot. It was such a feast for the imagination.  There were giant structure to climb and play on, art projects like trucks to paint a new layer on, and a tinker lab just full of stuff.  The boys made instruments and even a weaving as an early mom's day present ;) Lunch included that adorable monster sandwich man.
