big bad wolf
Happy Halloween from the big bad wolf, little red riding hood, and the woodsman!
The big bad wolf hit the road the day before Halloween for some big bad excitement! We went to a spooky Brueger's which turned out to be not so spooky, but they had balloons ;) Then we visited the annual Children's Book Author showcase and Halloween storytime at the Barrington Bookstore. The big bad wolf was tired and fell asleep on the way home fitting in a nap before the Halloween parade. We headed to Books on the Square for their party, which included Marvin the Magician and the parade around the square. We then had our own parade down Thayer St to get some pizzas in a cone from this new place. Aiden growled at just about anyone that would smile at him or act scared. He even got a high five from some college kid dressed as a disco king.

studio
My folks agreed to (aka. I signed up and told them we were going ;) - thanks!) visit the RISD lighting lab with me earlier this week. I have to complete a "professional quality" brochure on a specific theme. He forced us to pick our themes early in the semester and I chose to make a brochure based on "What is Montessori?" The shots I thought Aiden could be my model and I could get shots in his classroom - easy peasy right? Ug, photographing kids in a lighting studio is a heck of a lot harder than I expected. Trying to get all three of them in the same shot with the light I wanted, nearly impossible. But it did make for some fun family shots... Here's a batch of my favorites with the attempts at the brochure photos at the top.
