mother's day highlights

Highlight tidbits from a very nice day (not included are all the nice things leading up to this day including yummy eating out and even a chance to stomp around the outlets having no luck at all trying to find new shoes):
- Woke up to my little big boy delivering the present he made in school - "Hey mommy, waaaake up it'ss mother's day, here's your sachet!"  If a three year old saying sachet isn't just the cutest thing, it got better with this note attached (an interview conducted by his teacher):
"My Mother by Aiden"
I call her "Mommy. But, I like to call her Lauren Brennan best!"
Her favorite color is "red" and "she likes all the food."
My favorite book to read with her is "my baby book. It's a book to figure out all the baby stuff."
Our favorite song to sing together is "It's a song called Little Flower.  It's a song where you have to make a flower.  You point your finger for the stem, and then you point your hand like this."
My favorite thing to do with her is, "go for a walk in the caboose.  You can stroll around.  I can sit in the back, and Keaton can sit in the front.  It's a caboose that is big enough for both of us."
"I love my mom because I always go to the park with her."
- Specially mixed juice in the pineapple sippy cup my silly son picked out for me (which was paired with a mini traffic cone that said super on it) - letting him pick out presents is always good for a laugh!
- Yummy french toast breakfast made by my sweet husband - with good bacon!
- Got a three way hug with my own mom and baby
- Watched the running goodbye hugs with my son and my folks
- Cruised in the baby mobile part deux (our new lovable minivan!) to Warren and Bristol on a bright sunny day - We even cruised past RW campus and Colt State Park to reminisce.
- Cupcakes and Peanut Butter Blast cake to share with my best boys - J called it the cake tour ;)
- The little big boy took a nap!
- The little little boy gave me half smiles and provoked tickled smiles all day, but held out on that true independent smile.
- Cute new mommy necklaces from my folks and J - thanks!
- Daddy took all diaper duty ;)
