We were seriously impressed by the Kennedy Space Center and all it had to offer the kiddos and adults. It's just plain impressive to march around all the rockets in the Rocket Garden and the big installations of all the old Apollo gear, etc, etc. The Angry Birds area is like a giant disney-esque area complete with life size sling shots, a mirror maze, and a laser game. Aiden and J placed in the top ten fastest spots by jumping and ducking under the lasers to hit the eggs. We hopped on the bus tour and ate lunch out by the launch area. They are still active launching rockets in the area. Then we made it back to see the Atlantis area. The intro video where they reveal the real space shuttle behind the sheer screen literally made me cry it was so moving, and I will always be a big space science sap (after my years working at the US Space Camp). The area surrounding the shuttle was amazing and very interactive. A giant slide that mimicked the angle of the space shuttle landing was Aiden's favorite. There were tons of virtual satellite positioning stations and even more to come back to see another time.
