hey doc

Today was Aiden's late scheduled 18 month appointment. Right when we walked in, he got really excited by the big knex ferris wheel and especially the fact that there was a cookie and a duck on it. He also wanted to take a walk down the hall a bit. He made friends with this little four year old girl, and kept smiling and inching closer to her, and when she went to leave he started getting fussy. Luckily, they called his name right then and we got to go back to the room.

As they measured him he said "taaall" and smiled at the nurse. Then they had him sit on the scale and it struck me how big he looked on it now. He weighed in at 27 lbs 4 ozs (66th) at about 33.5 inches tall (90th). The doctor came in and he was such a good bubbly boy. He trotted around the room while she inputted his info, throwing a smile her way over his shoulder. He wanted to use the stool to jump up on the table. He stood up with his lip sticking out while she examined his ears. Then when she was trying to use the same tool to look in his mouth he kept turning his ear towards the light. I'm not sure she ever got a good look at his mouth, but I think she could see his teeth when she tickled him and got him to laugh.

No shots this time, which was a nice surprise!  I think overall he liked his quick visit and we're glad that we have only been to well visits for over a year now!
