Hippo's Ticket to Ride

Mama's 30th birthday

There was a hippopotamus
who thought perhaps a lot of us
would like to sit upon him for a ride.

And so that hippopotamus
splashed out and made a lot of fuss
making cautious people run and hide.

But then that hippopotamus
felt glad he got a lot of us
still brave enough to ride his big backside.

While on that hippopotamus
a camera got a shot of us
riding with great smiles full of pride.

Learn now from hippopotamus
if ever asked to trot with us,
take a chance, and jump aboard to ride.

(I just got around to scanning these all in this past weekend to create a cute little hard cover book for Aiden to read someday.)
