meganfrank is gorges

The wedding at the perfect time in perfect place for perfect people, but their wedding program claimed they were doing it imperfectly. Frank is a long time penpal that I met over 15 years ago at a church camp and became fast friends. We've shared many NYC visits and a college thanksgiving in Ohio, and best of all, Frank made it to our wedding (and if you were there he's pretty hard to forget).

I can't help but share the memories in bits and pieces that you'd have to know Frank and Megan to truly appreciate.

They had two big parties... first was a good ol bbq in an old barn. Highlights:
- get to know you games including something that involved throwing marshmallows into the bride and grooms mouths, then they brought out eggs and I lost track of what was going on
- the bridal party wore tshirts that said Megan and Frank is Gorges (since it was in Ithaca, NY which is known for all its scenic gorges and sells tshirts that say Ithaca is Gorges)
- the Texas Boudreaux family welcomed Megan with a pair of her very own dancing boots
- Megan's acting group put together a performance using quotes from people they interviewed on the topic of Love
- Frank's parents put together a song to toast him with lyrics from that You Can't Take That Away From Me

The wedding was at a winery on a little pond. Highlights:
- the bride and groom walked in with both parents to a "spontaneous song" from the audience hooting, clapping, and playing little instruments
- the bridal party all walked in with bits and pieces of wood scraps used in the creation of their wooden rings
- frank and megan's brother and sister officiated and used tidbits from letters they'd written to each other and other writing in their voices
