daddy's day

After sending Daddy out with his Superman Man of Steel movie ticket first thing this morning and KC's nap, we braved the sprinkly weather in search of a new adventure.  We hadn't stopped at Roosevelt Island yet despite hearing about it a bunch of times.  We gawked at Gtown from the bridge over the Potomac - Aiden even held one of the campus buildings in his hand in a picture.  We had the perfect airplane flight landing paths crossing closely overhead.  But it was humid, so we said hi to Teddy, ate some snacks and wandered back in the shady spots.  Then it was time for a stop at the comic book shop, dinner at our favorite Orso, and movie night when we got home (we watched Oz).  While at dinner, KC tried to give daddy one of the only gifts he can give, a head bang leading to an almost fat lip. Maybe the best gifts were narrowly avoided lip injuries and we didn't get rained on ;). Nah, I vote the best gift is just spending time together!
