The strawberries just came out around here. Our little garden patch isn't quite ready yet, but there were plenty for the pickin at the Four Town Farm right down the road. We ventured out on another school night adventure - woohoo! - makes the week a bit more fun to break up the work with some fun. We picked tonight because the weather was bright and sunny, but nice and cool. While we drove over we thought we were goin to have to abandon our plan due to rain sprinkles, but lucky for us the storm just blew by. By the time we had our baskets it was nothing but breezy with big fluffy clouds. Pretty perfect strawberry picking weather if you ask me. Aiden was so excited to pick his own. He was telling us that all the strawberries looked like different shapes. We picked about 4 pounds pretty quickly, which are going to be ready for some jam action this weekend. Aiden was pretty jazzed and dancing all around the farm stand as we checked out. The check out lady asked what he was going to have for dinner, and without skipping a beat he said strawberries!
Then we cruised over for another installment of the Newport Creamery's kid craft night. I think this may be our fourth or fifth Tuesday trip. I joked with the very sweet craft girl that if we kept coming I'd be 200 pounds by the end of the summer. Good thing I stick to the frozen yogurt. Aiden was very excited to be in the kitchen and was trying very hard to pronounce it correctly ;) He decorated his own mini scoop.
