dance

Aiden's school hosted a Valentine's family dance and we know that Aiden loves to dance!  Aiden was excited to wear his rockstar vest and insisted on keeping it on most of the time even though his grooves were heating him up.  He was really feeling it to all the Michael Jackson they played.  There was even a kid that did a rocking job at MJ's Beat It at karaoke - which luckily started up just shortly before Aiden was ready to hit the road.
The DJ stirred up the pot at the Montessori and wanted the parents to judge the kids doing the freeze dance.  Um, yep, it's all about "self correcting" here at Montessori, so that judging is a little against the grain.  Some dad did take it upon himself to start tagging kids out if they didn't freeze when the music stopped, but Aiden hung in there until the very end.  He officially came in second. He would have won, but the little baby that wasn't really playing along ended up being the winner so no one was jealous ;)
I will definitely miss the chance to continue as part of the school community next year.  I hope we are lucky enough to find a place like this again at some point.
The second place champion of the freeze dance celebrates - see left below ;)  Aiden limbo lesson: The stick may drop at any time so be sure to keep your chin up (see right).

When putting these video snippets together, I really noticed how much Aiden was concentrating on watching the other kids dancing at times.  He was learning some new grooves:
